QR Code Generator Pro trial ended or cancelled? What happens to your QR codes
Updated 2026-10-17
QR Code Generator Pro (qr-code-generator.com, now part of Bitly) says that dynamic QR codes made during the 14-day free trial are deactivated when the trial ends, and that a cancelled paid plan gets 30 more days before codes are locked. Static codes keep working. Here is what its help center says.
Competitor details are from each company’s own pricing and help pages as read on 2026-10-03 (plans and prices) and 2026-10-17 (trial and cancellation behavior). Plans change, so check their current pages before you decide.
What happens when the trial ends or you cancel
- Trial ends: per its help center, any dynamic QR codes you created during the 14-day trial are deactivated at the end of it. They point to a service page instead of your destination. Your data is retained but you can’t view it until you upgrade, however long ago the trial expired. The account does not switch to a paid plan on its own.
- Paid plan cancelled: the cancellation article says codes keep working until the end of the paid period plus 30 days (view only, no edits). After that the account is locked and the dynamic codes redirect to a service page.
- Account deleted: all dynamic codes are deactivated.
- Static codes are not affected, with or without a subscription.
- No conversion: it says a dynamic code can’t be turned into a static one (or the reverse), so a code printed during a trial has to be recreated if you don’t upgrade.
- Credit card for the trial: the pages we read don’t say, so check at sign-up.
