Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 27, 2026

This page describes what QRMaple ("we", "us") collects and why. QRMaple is operated as a small, independent SaaS.

1. Static QR codes

The free static QR code generator on our homepage runs entirely in your browser. The URL, text, colors, and logo you enter are never sent to our servers.

2. Account data

To use dynamic QR codes, short links, or projects, we store your email address, the links and projects you create, and license/billing records tied to your account (source, tier, and — for direct purchases — the email used at checkout). We do not sell this data.

3. Scan statistics

When someone scans a dynamic QR code or opens a short link, we record: the date, the destination link it belongs to, the visitor's country (derived from network routing, not GPS), and a coarse device type (mobile, tablet, desktop, or bot). We do not use cookies for this. We do not store the visitor's IP address or their raw browser User-Agent string — only the derived country and device-type values above are written to our database, and there is no way to reconstruct the original IP or User-Agent from what we store.

We count page views on this site with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not collect information that identifies you.

4. Email

We use your email address to send sign-in links, project invitations, and license/billing confirmations. We do not send marketing email you haven't asked for.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep account, link, and scan-statistics data for as long as your account is active. You can export your full list of links as CSV at any time.

You can delete your own account at any time from the dashboard ("Delete account", at the bottom of the page) — no need to email us first, though you're welcome to. Deleting your account permanently deletes your links (and every QR code pointing at them stops working, even ones already printed), scan statistics, saved designs, and API tokens; a project you're the sole member of is deleted entirely, and one you share with others keeps running under a new owner instead (ownership passes to whoever has been a member there the longest). We keep your purchase/license record (tier, purchase date, and the email you bought with) after deletion, with the deleted project unlinked from it — this is an accounting and refund record, independent of whether your account still exists. You can also request deletion by emailing us instead.

6. Acceptable use and enforcement

Links used for phishing, malware distribution, or fraud are prohibited under our Terms of Service, and we may disable such links without prior notice, including in response to third-party abuse reports.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
