QR code for Wi-Fi

Guests scan it and connect — no typing the password.

A Wi-Fi QR code holds your network name and password, so guests join by scanning it instead of typing a long password. Cafes, hotels, vacation rentals, offices and waiting rooms put it on a sign or a table card. Phones with a recent iOS or Android camera offer to join the network right away.

How to make a Wi-Fi QR code

  1. Enter your network name (SSID) exactly as it appears on a phone, including capital letters.
  2. Type the password and choose the matching security type (usually WPA/WPA2), or choose "No password".
  3. Download the QR code as SVG for printing, or PNG for screens.
  4. Scan it with a phone that is not yet connected to confirm it joins.
  5. Print it and put it where guests will see it.

FAQ

Is my password sent to a server?
No. This QR code is created entirely in your browser.
What if my network has no password?
Choose "No password" and leave the password field blank.
Does this work for both WPA and WEP networks?
Yes — pick the matching security type before you create the QR code.
Do free QR codes expire?
No. The network name and password are stored in the QR code itself, so it never expires. It stops working only if you change the Wi-Fi name or password.
Can I track how many people scan it?
Not with this free QR code. Paid plans include scan stats, but they apply to editable link QR codes, not to Wi-Fi codes.
