Uniqode trial ended or cancelled? What happens to your QR codes
Updated 2026-10-17
Uniqode (called Beaconstac until its 2023 rebrand) offers a 14-day free trial, and its help center says dynamic QR codes are deactivated after the trial expires. Static codes are not affected. If you printed codes during a trial, here is what the docs say and what your options are.
Competitor details are from each company’s own pricing and help pages as read on 2026-10-03 (plans and prices) and 2026-10-17 (trial and cancellation behavior). Plans change, so check their current pages before you decide.
What happens when the Uniqode trial ends or you cancel
- Trial: the pricing page lists a 14-day free trial. Per this help article, dynamic QR codes are deactivated once the trial expires. To bring them back you upgrade the same account, which restores the original short links.
- Paid plan, cancelled: a help article on expiry says dynamic codes expire only if the account is cancelled. The cancellation article says you keep dashboard access until the end of the billing cycle, and that Uniqode keeps your data for 60 days before deleting it. We found no mention of a grace period.
- Static codes: codes made with Uniqode’s free static generator are described as free, unlimited-scan and non-expiring.
- Credit card for the trial: the pages we read don’t say, so check at sign-up.

How Uniqode is priced
- Static QR codes are free. Dynamic QR codes need a paid plan.
- Paid QR code plans start at about $9 per month, billed annually. Uniqode says there is no monthly billing option.
- There is a 14-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
- A custom-priced Business+ plan is also offered.
