How to create QR codes in bulk from a CSV
Updated 2026-09-27
If you need dozens or hundreds of QR codes, creating them from a CSV file is faster and less error-prone than making them one by one. Build the list in Excel or Google Sheets and upload it.
When bulk creation helps
- A different code for each store, table, or room
- A code per product for packaging
- A separate code per flyer or placement, so you can compare results
How to format the CSV
| Column | What goes in it | Required |
|---|---|---|
| destination | The URL to open when scanned | Yes |
| title | A name to tell codes apart (e.g. “Store 3 table 1”) | No |
| code | Your own short-link ending (letters, numbers, - and _) | No |
Steps in QRMaple
- Open the “Bulk create” tab and download the template
- Fill in one row per QR code in Excel or Google Sheets
- Save as CSV and choose the file
- Check the preview for rows with errors, then create
- Download every code as PNG images in one ZIP file
Each image is named after its title, so you can tell them apart. Every code created this way is editable, so you can change any one of them later.
How many at once
| Plan | Rows per file |
|---|---|
| Basic | 100 |
| Pro and Premium | 1,000 |
You can upload as many files as you like, so there is no overall cap.
If a row fails
- Is the first row a header with
destination? - Does each URL start with
https://? - If you set your own code, is it unique?
FAQ
- Can I upload an Excel file directly?
- Save it as CSV first. Both “CSV UTF-8” and regular CSV work.
- What image format do I get?
- Bulk-created codes download as PNG images in a ZIP file. Individually, you can also save SVG and a high-resolution PNG for print.
- Can I change bulk-created codes later?
- Yes. Each one can be edited from the dashboard.
